Paul Feig to Direct WORST ROOMMATE EVER for Blumhouse

Bridesmaids AND ghost Buster director Paul Feig is set to direct a new thriller for Blumhouse titled Worst roommate ever.

The film is based on a New York Magazine article by William Brennan which has already led to the unscripted Netflix television series, produced by Blumhouse.

Feig’s film will follow “a newly single woman who finds a seemingly perfect gentleman to sublet a spare room in her house.

“However, she quickly discovers that her lies go beyond providing a false name and a falsified application. She has unknowingly invited a serial squatter into her home, and he isn’t going away without a fight.”

It sounds like a horrible experience but it will provide fun and exciting entertainment.

Feig will produce alongside Blumhouse CEO and founderby Jason Blum, Chris Morgan and Vox Media Collect the water.

Blum said in a statement: “Worst roommate ever It has a very deep meaning because, as the Internet has connected so many people, it has become easier than ever to lie about who you are.

“But then the story is stunning and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Paul is the perfect director for this because his work always finds a balance between the dark and the light, and I’m very excited to see everything he brings to this story.”

Feig added: “Jason and I have been trying for years to find the perfect project to collaborate on, and this story is tailor-made to deliver the scares, chills, thrills and comedy of terror that he and I both love to entertain audiences with.

“In other words, I couldn’t be happier to have Jason as my best roommate ever for this movie.”
