Focus Features has announced that it will re-release Edgar Wrightthe classic zombie comedy of Shawn of the Living Dead in theaters for its 20th anniversary and we have a trailer and poster to share with you!
Wright said in a statement: “Twenty years ago, the worldwide release of Night of the Living Dead changed my life forever. Since then her reception has been incredible, thanks in large part to the passionate fans who have supported her with cricket bats raised.
“Now, as we celebrate its bloody 20th anniversary with a brand-new remastered version in Dolby Atmos and Vision, I can’t wait for everyone to see it once again on the big screen, the way it was always meant to be: big, loud, and with a whole lot of red.”
The ad reads: “20 years of blood!! Get ready for a gut-wrenching, bone-crunching time in the hilarious horror comedy Shaun of the Dead.
“There comes a day in every man’s life when he has to get off the couch… and kill some zombies. When flesh-eating zombies are on the hunt for a bite to eat, it’s up to slacker Shaun (Simon Pegg) and his best friend (Nick Frost) to save their friends and family from becoming the next course.
“Satisfy your bloodthirsty appetite with the film that horror masters and film critics are hailing as the funniest and scariest movie of the year.”
The movie stars Simone Pegg like Shaun, Nick’s Frost like Ed, Kate Ashfield, Lucy Davis, The countdown, actress, Penelope Wilton, Jessica Stevenson, Peter SerafinowiczAND Rafe Shoulder.
Focus Features will re-release the film on August 30, 2024.
