Here’s a trailer for John Malkovicthe next french comedy, Mr. Blake at your servicewhich seems like a pleasant and touching film.
In the film, “Mr Andrew Blake (Malkovich), a recently widowed British businessman, takes a job as a butler at a stately home in northern France in an attempt to reconnect with the memory of his late French wife.
“His life takes an unexpected turn when he has to deal with the eccentric behavior of the lady of the manor, Nathalie (Fanny Ardant), and other members of the domestic staff who work there.”
The film is based on the novel Complètement Cramé, with the author of the novel, Gilles Legardinierwho made his directorial debut with the film. The film also stars Emilie Dequenne, Philip Low, Eugenia AnselinAND At the Ginter.
This looks like a great character study and Malkovich looks to give a great performance.
