If you haven’t had a chance to watch the extraordinarily nightmarish horror film Late night with the devil in theaters the opportunity presented itself again!
IFC Films and Shudder will bring the film back to theaters this weekend, and this time it will include an introduction from the star David Dastmalchiana Q&A between Dastmalchian and Kevin Smith and more.
Directed by Colin AND Cameron Cairnes, Late night with the devil follows Jack Delroy, “host of late-night talk show Night Owls who has long been a trusted companion to insomniacs across the country.
“It’s October 31, 1977, a year after the tragic death of Jack’s wife, and ratings have plummeted. Desperate to change his fortunes, Jack hosts a Halloween special like no other, unaware that he’s about to unleash evil on the living rooms of America.
I think it’s a fantastic horror film and definitely worth watching if you’re a fan of the genre! I will definitely see the film again in theaters!
The press release reads: “IFC Films and Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thrillers and the supernatural, announced today that their critically acclaimed and record-breaking hit Late Night with the Devil will be re-released in theaters, starting June 6 at 6pm ET, staying on topic with 666.
“The screened version will include bonus content with a personalized introduction by movie star David Dastmalchian, followed by a lengthy discussion between David and famed cult film writer/director Kevin Smith. The film will play throughout the weekend on more than 500 screens across North America, including theater chains AMC, Cinemark, Drafthouse, Regal, National Amusements, Harkins and Cineplex.
The film is currently streaming on Shudder, but had a record-breaking theatrical opening weekend, which established its title as IFC’s biggest opening weekend of all time.
The film is currently rated 97% Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, where it also ranks as the #1 Best Horror Film. 1 of 2024.”
Late night with the devil begins screening in theaters today, June 6 at 6pm ET and will play in select theaters throughout the weekend.
