Warner Bros. has released the first director’s trailer M. Night Shyamalanit’s the next thriller Trap, and the trailer does something interesting. It reveals the movie’s big twist, and it’s a good one!
The film is the protagonist Josh Hartnett and the story follows a father and teenage daughter who attend a pop concert, “where they realize they are at the center of a dark and sinister event”.
I’ll let you watch the trailer to see for yourself what that dark and sinister event is and what it entails. I love the concept of the story and it looks like it will make a great movie. Who knows, there might be another big twist in the story!
Shaymlan spoke about this film at CinemaCon and conceived the story with his pianist daughter over several years of trying to imagine a sinister story to tell that was tied to music. I like the concept and it will be interesting to see how the story develops.
The film is also the protagonist Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills AND Allison Pill.
