Karen GIllan wants to play Poison Ivy in DCU in a story that explores a romance with Harley Quinn

Karen Gillan She’s made it clear in the past that she’d like to play Poison Ivy James Gunn’It’s DCU, and that’s also something fans would love to see happen. Gillian has worked with Gunn in the past on Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, so it’s very likely that he will ask her to join the DCU one day.

When she previously talked about wanting to play Poison Ivy, she said: “I always thought Poison Ivy was really fun. So maybe something like that would be cool. Honestly, if James asked me to play an alien who sits in the background of a shooting and he doesn’t speak, I would say yes [laughs]. Because working with him has been one of the greatest joys of my career so far.”

In a recent interview with Screen Rant, the actress was asked to specify which version of Poison Ivy she would like to play, and she replied: “Oooh. That’s a good question. [Poison Ivy] in a relationship with Harley Quinn seems excellent.”

The big question is: in which DC movie will Poison Ivy make her big debut? I think she could most likely be Batman: The Brave and The Bold. Previously speaking about that project, Gunn said: “So this is the introduction of Batman DCU, Bruce Wayne, and also the introduction of our favorite Robin, Damian Wayne, who is a little son of a bitch, murderous assassin, who he unintentionally picks up, who is the real son of Batman that he didn’t know existed for the first 8-10 years of his life, and brings him into his life and that’s a story. It’s a very strange kind of father-son story between the two of them. And it’s based on Grant Morrison’s run on Batman. There are a couple of comics writers who have been exceptionally influential on our work and Grant Morrison and Tom King are probably the main two.”

The flash director Andy Muschietti is set to direct the film and is a three-time Oscar nominee John Logan (Gladiator, The Aviator, Hugo, Skyfall) is reportedly writing the film for DC Studios.

We’ll just have to wait and see how things play out, but I think it’s safe to assume that one day Gunn will introduce Poison Ivy into the DCU, we’ll just have to wait and see who ends up playing the role. .
