Director Mike Mitchell he has made several popular children’s films which include Shrek forever, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, Troll, The Lego Movie 2: The second partand more recently, Kung Fu Panda 4. But if she could choose one project to return to, it would be her 2005 live-action teen superhero film, High skyof which he would like to see a sequel, made by none other than Marvel studios.
In a recent interview with ComicBook, Mitchell explained:
“Save yourself, save the University. Sky higher. Here’s what it is. I know Kevin Feige is a big fan of Sky High. Just when he came out, he met me and we talked about it. His whole team loved it because it was the first superhero comedy that had fun with the genre. But at the same time honoring him. And so, the trick is this: it wasn’t made with Marvel. This was before them [Disney] bought Marvel. If we could get Kevin involved. And we could convince Disney to…. Disney is so afraid of Marvel. Only Marvel can make superhero movies. To which I say, “Great!” Let’s do Marvel Sky High! It would be fun. So I’m ready to go.
