This is the trailer of a beautiful korean supernatural thriller titled Exhumation. The film was a big hit in Korea and will soon be released in the United States through Well Go USA. It looks like the film will tell a chilling and scary story.
In the film “When a famous shaman (Kim Go-Eun) and his protégé (Lee Do-hyun) are hired by a rich and enigmatic family, they begin to investigate the cause of a disturbing supernatural disease that affects only the firstborn of each generation. With the help of an expert undertaker (Yoo Hai-jin) and the most revered geomancer in the country (Choi Min-sik), soon trace the origin of the affliction to a long-hidden family tomb located on sacred ground.
“Sensing a menacing aura surrounding the burial site, the team decides to immediately exhume and relocate the ancestral remains. But when something much darker emerges, they soon discover what happens to those who dare reach into the wrong tomb.
Exhumation is directed by Jang Jae Hyun (Svaha: the sixth finger) and will open in Los Angeles on March 15 and expand to US theaters on March 22.
