Netflix has released the first trailer for its live-action horror series Parasite: the greywhich comes from Korea and is directed by Yeon Sang-hothe director behind Train to Busan AND Pact with hell. The series is based on the original Parasyte: The Maxim manga by Hitoshi Iwaaki, which initially launched in 1989.
Parasyte: The Gray is a new version of the manga series and the story is set in Korea and will feature many new characters within a brand new story. In the story, “When unidentified parasites violently take control of human hosts and gain power, humanity must rise up to fight the growing threat.”
The new series will feature updated versions of the story’s alien monsters, and as you’ll see in the trailer, they look awfully gnarly! It looks like it’s going to be a wild and awesome show!
The series was written by Ryu Yong-jae and Jeon So-nee will star Jeong Su-in, the main character who finds himself possessed by one of the alien parasites. However, he is able to keep his human mind under control. The series is also the protagonist Koo Kyo-hwan as Seol Kang-woo, Lee Jung-hyun like Choi Jun-kyung, and Kwon Hae-hyo AND Kim In-kwon.
