Strange trailer for Mia Wasikowska’s dark comedy thriller CLUB ZERO

Here’s a trailer for a strange looking new movie called Club Zerowhich is a dark comedy thriller starring Mia Wasikowska as Miss Novak. She is a young teacher who forms a strong bond with five students from an elite school and establishes a group called “Club Zero”, which challenges them to participate in “mindful eating”.

The synopsis reads: “At an international boarding school, an unassuming but rigorous young lady, Miss Novak (Wasikowska) joins the teaching staff to instruct a new class in ‘mindful eating.’ Her impressionable teenage students each have their own reasons for signing up for the course: to improve fitness, reduce their carbon footprint or get extra credit. Although the first lessons focus on mindful consumption, Miss Novak’s discussions soon become increasingly messy and extreme. A suspicious principal, worried parents, and the failing health of her students lead everyone to question Miss Novak’s inscrutable motives for teaching the classroom. As some devoted pupils increasingly fall under her cult-like tutelage, they are given a new, even more sinister goal to aspire to: joining the menacing ‘Club Zero.’”

The film comes from the director Jessica Hausnerand he is also the protagonist Sidse Babett Knudsen, Elsa Zylberstein, Mathieu Demy, Amir El-Masry, Ksenia Devriendt, Luke BarkerAND Florence Baker.

Club Zero will be released in select US theaters on March 15, 2024.
