Laurence Fishburne was picked up for Netflix The witcher Season 4 and will take on the role of the character Regis, a fan favorite The witcher books and games.
Regis was introduced in the novel Baptism of fire, and is known for his complex personality and unique qualities. He is a superior vampire, which sets him apart from most other beings in the world of The Witcher. Despite his vampiric nature, Regis is extraordinarily kind and compassionate, often striving to live a peaceful existence and avoid harming humans. He was also the barber-surgeon of Dillingen and was very educated and could be considered a scholar, he knew many different subjects.
He is a close friend of Geralt of Rivia and his sense of loyalty and camaraderie make him a valuable ally in Witcher adventures. Regis’ intelligence, wisdom, and moral code make him a standout character in the series.
Regis will join Geralt on his journey in season 4. Geralt will be played by Liam Hemsworthwho takes on the role from Henry Cavillwhich came out at the end of the third season.
Fishburne said in a statement: “I am very excited to join the cast and can’t wait to explore the wonderful world of The witcher.”
The new season follows “Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri as they must traverse the war-torn continent and its many demons separated from each other. If they can embrace and lead the misfit groups they find themselves in, they will have a chance to survive the baptism of fire and find themselves again.”
