James Gunn Talks PEACEMAKER Season 2 and Says His Place in the DCU ‘Won’t Be Confusing’

James Gunn has been deeply developed Pacifier Season 2. This is one of the many projects he is planning and returned to soon after taking on the role of co-CEO at DC Studios.

When a fan on Threads asks him why Pacifier Season two was a priority for him, he said: “Because it’s my favorite thing to do, it’s Max’s biggest original show ever, and I have a way into it.” The director went on to address the whole DCU issue, saying, “It won’t be confusing.”

When asked if the second season of the series will be “totally different” from the first season due to DC’s reboot, Gunn replied, “You’ll have to wait and see how that works!”

There are no details on the Season 2 story, but Gunn teased his future plans for cameos next season, saying, “I think we’ll see more connections in some other things as we move forward with Peacemaker and other shows at HBO Max. So those [cameos] it will keep coming. I don’t know if the Justice League will appear in every season of Peacemaker; it could be a one-off thing. We will see!”

The series is the protagonist John Cena as a peacemaker, Steve Agee like Economos, Jennifer Holland in the role of Harcourt, Chukwudi Iwuji like Murn, Danielle Brooks like Adebayo, and Freddie Stroma in the role of Vigilante.
