Lucasfilm has officially announced something new Star Wars film in development titled The Mandalorian and Groguand the film will be directed and produced by The Mandalorian Creator Jon Favreau!
This is really exciting news! I wondered if we would see The Mandalorian and Grogu on the big screen, and now it officially happens! Kathleen Kennedy AND Dave Filoni they are also producing and the film will go into production this year, 2024!
Favreau said in a statement: “I have loved telling stories set in the rich world created by George Lucas. The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”
Kennedy added, “Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni introduced two new and beloved characters to Star Wars, and this new story is perfect for the big screen.”
There are no details to share about the story at this time, but it will obviously continue the story of The Mandalorian and Grogu’s adventures, and it will be a story worthy of the big screen! I assume that this film will be in addition to the fourth season of The Mandalorian, but this has not been clarified. However, a few months ago it was rumored that The Mandalorian The fourth season was going to be made into a movie.
We don’t even know if Pedro Pasquale will reprise his role as Din Djarin, but I think it’s fair to say he’ll at least return to provide the character’s voice.
