Naomi Scottbest known for playing Princess Jasmine in Disney’s live-action Aladdin film, is swapping genres to join the upcoming horror sequel, Smile 2. Parker Finn is returning to both write and direct the second film following the runaway success of the first film.
Smile revolves around a psychiatrist who, after witnessing a bizarre and traumatic incident involving a patient, becomes increasingly convinced that she is threatened by a mysterious entity. Plot details for the sequel are being kept under wraps.
Scott will next appear in David Michôd’s next film, A24 Magicians! in the role of the female protagonist alongside Pete Davidson and Orlando Bloom. She just finished Eternal Returnthe first film under his New Name Entertainment production banner, which also stars Kit Harington and Simon Callow in a magical realism romance directed by Yaniv Raz.
Smile 2 will be released in theaters on October 18, 2024. Can’t wait for the next chapter of the Smile franchising?
