National Rugby League star Connor Watson and his model girlfriend Kiana Flanet are expecting their first child together, the couple announced in a joint Instagram post.
The couple shared two intimate black-and-white photographs set against a striking red backdrop to reveal the news. One image showed the parents-to-be kissing while holding an ultrasound photograph of their unborn baby, while a second captured an overjoyed Watson beaming at the camera as Flanet held the scan above them.
Flanet captioned the announcement "Half you half me" to her social media followers. The couple have not yet revealed the baby's sex or expected arrival date.

The post was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages from the couple's famous friends and followers. Activewear designer Pip Edwards declared the news "epic" and added that she was thrilled for the pair, while former NRL star Beau Ryan wrote, "Congratulations brother."
Footballers Mitchell Pearce, Josh Moss, Dom Thomas and Cory Teunissen were also among those celebrating the announcement. Influencer Tamika Fawcett shared her excitement by commenting, "Omggggg congratulations my love!!"
Watson later responded to the outpouring of support by commenting, "Thanks everyone," alongside a red heart emoji.
Career milestone and upcoming team changes
The announcement marks an exciting new chapter for Watson, who turned 30 in May. The versatile footballer currently plays for the Sydney Roosters in Australia's top-level National Rugby League competition and has also represented New South Wales in the annual State of Origin series.
A proud Indigenous athlete, Watson made his first-grade debut for the Roosters in 2016 before spending four seasons with the Newcastle Knights. He later returned to the Bondi-based club, establishing himself as one of the competition's most adaptable players, capable of filling several positions across the field.
Watson is also preparing for major changes in his playing career over the coming years. He is set to leave the Roosters at the end of the current season to join the St George Illawarra Dragons in 2027, before linking with the PNG Chiefs for their inaugural NRL campaign in 2028.
