Some new concept art from The wonders has surfaced online and features the film’s original alternate ending previously teased by the actress Iman Vellani.
Vellani revealed that when Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) closed the gap in the parallel universe created by Dar-Benn, the original draft of the screenplay featured Kamala Khan and Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) helping Monica close it. It was also in that version, right before Monica became trapped in another reality, that she would officially be called “Photon”.
Thanks to Marvel concept artist Lixin Yin, we now have an idea of what that scene would have looked like. In it, Ms. Marvel dons a spacesuit and joins Monica and Carol so they can all repair the tear together. Check out the art below!
