Gotham Awards 2023 Red Carpet Arrivals Photo Gallery

The 33rd annual Gotham Awards kick off awards season by highlighting independent films with nominations in ten award categories, including 20 features, 11 series and 30 shows.

The gala took place at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City and was attended by Margot Robbie, Greta Gerwig, Leonard DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, Colman Domingo, Julianne Moore, Bradley Cooper, Carey Mulligan, Greta Lee, Penélope Cruz, Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams, Steven Yeun, Ali Wong, Jeffrey Wright, Cailee Spaeny, Boots Riley, Teyana Taylor, Juliette Binoche, Bella Ramsey, Franz Rogowski and many more.

The nominations are led by We are all strangers by Andrew Haugh, Celine Song’s Past lives and Jonathan Glazers The zone of interest.

Best Picture nominations include: Passages, past lives, reality, emergence and a thousand and one while including series nominations Beef, I’m a Virgo, The Last of Us and Swarm. Performance nominations include Penélope Cruz, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams, Charles Melton, Bella Ramsey, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Cailee Spaeny, Michelle Williams, Ali Wong and Jeffrey Wright.

The movies Sky, Barbie, Ferrari, Killers of the Flower Moon, MaestroAnd Quiet will all receive an honor.

The Gotham Awards will honor the highest-grossing film of 2023, Greta Gerwig Barbiewith Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken in his first Global Icon & Creator Tribute. For his role in the film, Gosling also received an award for Best Outstanding Supporting Performance.
