Beautiful trailer and poster for the DreamWorks Netflix animated film ORION AND THE DARK

Netflix has released a new poster and trailer for their fun upcoming DreamWorks animated film, Orion and the Darkness. The film is directed by Sean Charmatz (World Troll Tour) from a screenplay written by Charlie Kaufmann (Eternal light of the pure mind), based on the novel by Emma Yarlett. The film features the voice cast which includes Jacob Tremblay like Orion, Paolo Walter Hauser like The Dark, and Werner Herzog in an unspecified role.

The film’s synopsis reads:

“Orion is a lot like your typical elementary school kid: shy, unassuming, with a secret crush. But beneath his seemingly normal exterior, Orion is a ball of adolescent anxiety, completely consumed by irrational fears of bees, dogs, the ocean, cell phone waves, killer clowns, and even falling off a cliff. But of all his fears, the thing he fears most is what he faces every night: the dark. So when the literal embodiment of his worst fear visits, Dark takes Orion on a roller coaster ride around the world to prove that there’s nothing to fear in the night. As the unlikely pair grows closer, Orion must decide whether he can learn to accept the unknown, stop letting fear control his life, and finally embrace the joy of living.
