Marvel Studios is reportedly discussing bringing back the original Avengers stars for another film

Marvel Studios is reportedly looking to bring back the original Avengers stars for another film, and there has apparently been active talk of making that happen.

The report comes from Variety, which states: “With Iger publicly acknowledging the downside of a glut of Marvel TV that “diluted focus and attention,” the gatekeepers of the comic book empire are considering some dramatic moves. Sources say there have been talks to bring back the original gang for a Avengers movie.”

The report goes on to specifically mention the relaunch Robert Downey Junior.it’s Iron Man and Scarlett Johanssonof the Black Widow, both killed in Avengers: Endgame. The multiverse gets opened up in the MCU and a variety of variations of all these characters running around, it wouldn’t be hard to bring these characters back. The big question is… would the actors want to return now? Maybe if Marvel offered them a sum of money they couldn’t refuse.

Other characters from the original Avengers team include Chris Evans in the role of Captain America, Jeremy Renner in the role of Hawkeye, Marco Ruffalo like the Hulk, and Chris Hemsworth like Thor.

The report goes on to say that the studio “hasn’t committed to the idea yet — if it were able to bring those actors back, it wouldn’t be cheap.”

Marvel and Disney are obviously hoping to get Marvel movie fans excited again at a time when there’s superhero fatigue. The fact is… what they apparently haven’t learned yet is that it’s all about good quality storytelling and filmmaking. We don’t really need these characters to return, and bringing them back guarantees nothing! If they bring them back and give us a substandard story, fans will be even more pissed off. It just tells a good, solid story, no matter who the characters are! That’s all I want, at least.
