Netflix has released the full trailer for its upcoming pharmaceutical crime film Pain dealers. There have been a lot of projects coming out recently about the evils of the pharmaceutical industry and how they get away with murder for profit.
This new film is the protagonist Chris Evans AND Emily Blunt, and the story follows: “Liza Drake (Blunt) is a working-class single mom who has just lost her job and is at the end of her rope. A chance meeting with pharmaceutical sales representative Pete Brenner (Evans) puts her on an upward trajectory financially but on a dubious path ethically as she becomes entangled in a dangerous racketeering scheme. Dealing with her increasingly upset boss (Andy Garcia), the worsening of your daughter’s medical condition (Chloe Coleman), and a growing awareness of the devastation the company is causing forces Liza to examine her choices. Pain Hustlers is a sharp and revealing look at what some people do out of desperation and others out of greed.
Pain dealers is directed by Harry Potter franchising director David Yates and produced by Lawrence Gray. He is also the protagonist Jay Duplass, Brian d’Arcy James, Amit Shah, Aubrey DollarAND Willie Raysor.
The film is inspired by Evan Hughes’ New York Times article of the same name, which will be released in select theaters on October 20 and on Netflix on October 27.
