Time travel trailer for the second season of the NBC series QUANTUM LEAP

A fun new trailer has been released for the second season of NBC’s time travel adventure series Quantum leap. The trailer teases new jumps to 1961 Egypt, the 1992 Los Angeles Koreatown riots, a 1949 New Mexico UFO investigation, the 1692 Massachusetts witch trials and more. The series is the protagonist Raymond Lee as Doctor Ben Song, Caitlin Bassett like Addison Augustine, Ernie Hudson as Herbert “Magic” Williams, Mason Alexander Park as Ian Wright, Nanrisa Lee as Jenn Chu, along with new season 2 series regulars added Elisa Taylor as Hannah Carson and Pietro Gadiot as Tom Westfall.

The show’s synopsis reads:

It’s been almost 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett entered the Quantum Leap accelerator and disappeared. Now, a new team, led by physicist Ben Song (Raymond Lee), has been assembled to reboot the project in hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.

Everything changes, however, when Ben makes an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving the team behind to solve the mystery of why he did it. At Ben’s side during his jumps is Addison (Caitlin Bassett), who appears as a hologram that only Ben can see and hear. She is a decorated Army veteran who brings a level-headed precision to her work.

At the helm of a highly confidential operation is Herbert “Magic” Williams (Ernie Hudson), a no-nonsense career soldier who must answer to his bosses who will not be happy once they learn of the breach of protocol. The rest of the team at headquarters includes Ian Wright (Mason Alexander Park), who runs the “Ziggy” artificial intelligence unit, and Jenn Chu (Nanrisa Lee), who heads the project’s digital security.

As Ben moves from one life to another, putting right what once went wrong, it becomes clear that he and the team are on an emotional journey. However, Addison, Magic, Ian and Jenn know that if they want to solve the mystery of Ben’s leaps and bring him home, they must act fast or lose him forever.
