Cillian Murphy praises Christopher Nolan’s INTERSTELLAR and wished he could have starred in it

Cillian Murphy AND Christopher Nolan they have collaborated on some great movies together since Batman begins to the latest movie Oppenheimerin which Murphy gave an incredible performance by J. Robert Oppenheimer.

Before Oppenheimer came along, Murphy was desperate to take the lead in one of Nolan’s films, and one of the films he would have loved to star in was Interstellar. During a recent interview with The Independent, Murphy was asked which Nolan film he would like to be in, and this was his answer:

“I love Interstellar just because I find it so exciting. I remember seeing it in the cinema when I had small children. It had a big impact on me. It broke my heart. I love watching his movies when I’m not around, because you don’t have to be scared about the size of your ears or anything.

Murphy was also asked about pairing another Nolan film with Oppenheimer as a double feature, and he said:

“You could go to Interstellar, which is a lot… it explores similar science and physics topics. Or you could watch Dunkirk, also set in WWII. Dunkirk is shorter, so that might be a good match because it’s like an hour and a half, and then you can go in [Oppenheimer].”

Oppenheimer did well at the box office and recently surpassed $266 million domestically and $650 million worldwide. Oppenheimer is now Nolan’s fifth highest-grossing film of all time and has the potential to pass Interstellar ($773 million) and maybe Start ($870 million).
