Stephen King and Guillermo del Toro praise LAST VISITS OF THE DEMETER but sink at the box office

This past weekend, I went out and watched the new Dracula-inspired horror movie The last voyage of the Demetra. It’s a movie that I was really excited to see, when I got to the theater, which is one of the more popular theaters in the Los Angeles area that is always crowded, there were only three other people in the theater, and that’s not a good sign .

The movie was a very fun horror movie, though! I like it and it reminded me of the older horror movie types I grew up watching. I dug the whole atmosphere and loved the period setting. These days, these kinds of monster movies are being developed in a contemporary setting, which is boring to me.

But audiences are still flocking to see Barbie AND OppenheimerAND The last voyage of the Demetra it made just $6.5 million at the box office and had an average budget of $45 million. It’s a pity that hardly anyone sees this film! Stephen King AND Guillermo del Toro both also praised the film! Here are the X’s they sent:

If you are a fan of horror movies, this is a movie you must see! Horror movies tend to do really well, so it’s strange that this one is bombing so hard at the box office. With these numbers, Hollywood will stop making these kinds of movies, and that saddens me because these are the kinds of movies I want to see!

The film was directed by Andre Øvredal (The autopsy of Jane Doe, scary stories to be told in the dark) when he set out to make this film, he wanted to bring audiences the scariest depiction of Dracula ever, and he may have succeeded. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, go see it!

The story of the film focuses on a chapter from Bram Stoker’s classic horror novel, it is a unique story that follows the journey of Dracula as he terrorizes on the high seas. It is “based on a single chapter, The Captain’s Log, from Bram Stoker’s classic 1897 novel, Dracula. The chapter tells the story of the Russian schooner Demeter, chartered to carry a private cargo – twenty-four unmarked wooden crates – from Carpathia to London. The film will detail the strange events that befell the doomed crew as they attempted to survive the ocean voyage, pursued each night by a terrifying presence aboard the ship. When she finally got close to Whitby Harbour, she was a wreck. There was no trace of the crew.’

The film is the protagonist Corey Hawkins (Kong: Skull Island, The Walking Dead), Aisling Franciosi, Liam Cunningham, David Dastmalchian, Jon Jon Briones, Stefan KapicicAND Nikolai Nikolaeff, with Javier Botet like Dracula.
