David Cronenberg is developing his next film titled The Shordswho will play Vincent Cassel, Guy PerceAND Diana Kruger. We’ve now learned that Kruger will be playing three different characters in the film, which is sure to be interesting.
Léa Seydoux she was originally supposed to play these characters, but Kruger ended up filling in for her. Kruger revealed her new details in an interview with So Film and explained that she plays Cassel’s character’s wife, his wife’s sister and “an avatar, sort of a personal assistant.”
In the film, Cassel plays Karsh, “an innovative businessman and grieving widower, who builds a new device to connect with the dead inside a burial shroud. This burial tool installed in his own state-of-the-art cemetery, although the controversial cemetery allows him and his clients to observe the decomposition of the specific loved one in real time.
It is explained that “Karsh’s revolutionary activity is on the verge of entering the international mainstream when several graves within his cemetery are vandalized and nearly destroyed, including that of his wife. As he struggles to uncover a clear reason for the attack, the mystery of who caused this havoc, and why, prompts him to reevaluate his business, marriage and loyalty to the memory of his late wife, as well as propelling him to new beginnings. .
Yes, that story sounds very Cronenberg-y, and it sure is a crazy and fascinating film.
