M. Night ShyamalanThe next film project of is titled Trap, and while not much is known about it, we have some information to share with you regarding the setting of the film. It has been described as a “psychological thriller set during a concert”. And that’s all, that’s all we know!
Shyamalan’s last film was Knock at the Cabin and that ended up being a bit of a letdown. It was a pretty average film that didn’t really hit the audience like some of the other projects he likes Visit AND Divided, which fans loved. Glass and Old also ended up disappointing many fans.
The director described Trap to NME earlier this year, saying: “I have a new idea that I’ve started writing. It’s coming out in 2024 and it’s very, very exciting. It’s a thriller. It’s very unusual and very new compared to what I’ve been trying to do [recently]but I’m very excited about the story, so much so that I can’t wait to tell you guys.
He added, “Where I write and direct is my home,” Shyamalan previously said. “Disney and Universal, where I’ve shot most of my movies, will always be home and family to me. Warner Bros. has a legendary history of cinema. Through its recent experiences, the company has rediscovered its love and appreciation for filmmakers and the impact of the theater experience. We all win when movies hit theaters. I think David Zaslav, Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy dedicated themselves to unique directors and filling cinemas around the world for years to come”.
hopefully, Trap it will end up being a better film for the director. The film will be released on August 2, 2024 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
