Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for a new movie called The cap bubble. The film tells the fictional but crazy story of a boy named Ty, played by Zach Galifianakiswho created the wildly popular line of plush Beanie Babies and turned them into a huge profitable trend.
The synopsis of the film reads: “Why has the world suddenly treated stuffed animals like gold? Ty Warner (Galifianakis) was a frustrated toy salesman until his partnership with three women turned his brilliant idea into the biggest toy craze in history. The Beanie Bubble is an inventive story about what and who we value, and the unsung heroes whose names don’t appear on the heart-shaped tag.
It looks like a great movie, and it’s also starring Elizabeth Banks, Sarah Snock, Geraldine Viswanathan, Kurt YagerAND Madison Johnson.
The cap bubble is co-directed by Kristin Gore (writer on Futurama, War History, Accidental Love) AND Damian Kulash Jr. (OK Go to Music Videos). Both are making their directorial debuts with this project. Gore also wrote the screenplay and is produced by Brian Grasser AND Ron Howard.
The cap bubble will be streamed on Apple TV+ starting July 28, 2023.
