Chris Pratt and Charlie Day Want a Sequel to THE SUPER MARIO BROS. MOVIE

The Super Mario Bros. Movie it was actually a lot of fun and I’m curious to see how it performs at the box office. I have a feeling it’s going to be a big hit, and if it is, you can bet Universal Pictures will want to make a sequel.

The voice of the film is the protagonist Chris Pratt AND Charlie Day, who play Mario and Luigi, are very excited for the franchise and would like a sequel to happen. During a recent interview with GamesRadar, they were asked if they’d like to come back for more, and Pratt replied, “Yeah, I’d like to,” and Day was equally enthusiastic saying, “Yeah, I’d like to see that.” He added:

“It’s so fun to be a part of this world and people love these characters so much. I mean, I’d love to keep doing that and Luigi has a whole mansion that he can wander around and be scared. But I don’t know, I think I would as many as they wanted.”

As for Pratt, he has been involved in some big film franchises in his career Jurassic world AND Guardians of the Galaxybut has another one with Super Mario Bros! He said:

“I wouldn’t call it trepidation, I think just a level of excitement. Especially knowing how large the fan base is for Super Mario Bros. and Mario World, you just know the potential there. The only fear you might have is that you just don’t want to be responsible for screwing this up You know how passionate the fans are, I know how passionate I am about this universe having played so many of these games growing up.

As you know, Pratt got a lot of fan bullshit about his Mario voice in the movie, but after watching the movie, what he does works for the movie. I actually wouldn’t mind seeing a sequel, I enjoyed the first film and the kids will love it!
