The story is described as “a mystery thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of dark secrets and emerging powers of the dark side in the last days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they face are more sinister than they ever anticipated.”

During a recent interview, Jodie Turner-Smith spoke about the series and what it was like for her to work on the series, telling CB:

“As soon as you walk into one of those sets, I mean, first of all, when you walk into one of those sets, you’re like, okay, they’ve got the money. This production is rich. But second of all, it just feels even, it doesn’t matter if you’re in a different show, a different movie, whatever you say, ‘Oh.’ It’s a very beautiful and surreal experience. It was definitely another moment not to be missed.”

It must be so cool to actually be a part of developing these Star Wars Shows! I would absolutely love it! In a separate interview with Collider, Turner-Smith explained how to work The Acolyte is different from his past work:

“Obviously, the argument is different. It’s different when all you’re doing is lighthearted, and that’s not what I was doing for Star Wars,” he said. “But I was working with my favorite director who So far we’ve worked with Kogonada and under the guidance of Leslye Headland. It’s amazing to see. I can’t wait to see how this show turns out.”

Turner Smith chatted a bit about her character and revealed that she won’t be playing a Jedi in the film. She explained, “I couldn’t use a lightsaber… but I couldn’t… use a lightsaber because I’m not a Jedi!”

As for what it was like for you to work with the star of the series Amanda Stenberg, it turns out he didn’t actually work with her! He also went on to say:

“What can I say that won’t get me fired? Walking onto set, I’ll just say this, this is pretty vague. You know it takes a lot of technical skill and craftsmanship to make Star Wars, but you have no idea how expansive it is until you Whether it’s the puppeteers or the costume designers, or all the people in all the different departments that build the sets, you don’t realize how much incredible technology and forward thinking is in every element until you’re there. “

The series was developed by Leslye Promontory who serves as director, writer, executive producer and showrunner. Headland worked closely with the president of Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy on this project. He is also the protagonist Lee Jung-jae, Dean Charles ChapmanAND Daphne Keen (Logan, his dark subjects).

The story will explore an interesting era that has so far only been explored in a series of books and comics. It’s the Golden Age of the Jedi, when the Jedi were at their prime and the Sith were believed to have been eradicated from the galaxy. The term “acolyte” refers to individuals with Force abilities who learn from a more experienced Sith Lord.

It was also previously explained that the show “specifically explores the rise of the Dark Side in those final days of the High Republic era.” The series is also said to explore some major Sith characters Legends of Star Wars. Do you think this show will be a hit or a miss?

The Acolyte will debut on Disney+ in 2024.
