The series offered an experience that combined compelling nature photography with the latest visual effects techniques to show us what dinosaurs would look like in their natural habitats. It featured interesting little-known facts about dinosaur life, and the Cretaceous environments it featured included coasts, deserts, freshwater, frozen worlds, and forests.

Debuting worldwide in a five-day weekly event on Apple TV+ on May 22, the five-episode second season transports viewers millions of years into the past as they discover our world and the dinosaurs that inhabited it, all in stunning detail , set to an original score by multiple Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer.
