I liked it Emilia Clarkethe character of Qi’ra in Solo: A Star Wars Storyand it’s a shame there aren’t any plans to explore that character further at the moment Star Wars universe. If there are plans, we don’t know about them! There’s a very interesting story to explore there and it would be really interesting to see it explored in the same style as the Andor series.

Since he starred in Solothe actress has joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is set to appear in the upcoming Disney+ series Secret invasion. Clarke has had a lot of experience playing in big franchises and when she was asked if she was looking to reprise her role as Qi’ra, she denied that anything was planned. But she is currently having a lot of fun playing in the Marvel sandbox. She told IndieWire:
“I mean… no. It would be nice, it would be very nice. I’m really enjoying Marvel a lot though, they’re absolutely brilliant.
So if you are asked to come back for more Star Wars action, it will most likely be in it, but there is nothing in the cards at the moment. But, hopefully, that will change.
At the end of Solo, we learn that Qi’ra is a Crimson Dawn crime lord on the rise working for Darth Maul, which made for a pretty fun cliffhanger. Now, the screenwriter of the film, Jonathan Kasdan, he thinks we’ll see his story continue. He had also previously had conversations about her with Jon Favreau. He spoke of that saying:
“I think so. I think one day we’ll see what happened, and how Qi’ra has advanced in the world, through crime syndicates. I’ve talked to Jon Favreau about this, and he’s a huge fan of [Solo] and some of the things we built. And I said, ‘Well, you’re the guy who’s going to figure that out.’ I always look to him to keep the story alive and keep it going.
“Star Wars is going in so many fun directions. And in particular, I saw that Andor trailer today, and I was like, ‘Well, Enfys Nest is going to appear somewhere on that show.’ So I’m hopeful that many of those people will continue the journeys they’ve been on.”
In Marvel it is ongoing Star Wars comics, it is revealed that Qi’ra actually stole Han Solo’s carbonite-frozen body. Crimson Dawn has also formed an uneasy alliance with Leia and the Rebels in an effort to sabotage and bring down the Galactic Empire.
Would you like to see Qi’ra’s story somehow continue into the Star Wars universe?
