Death No. 2 – Drama of the second season
In the second season, death again appears to be an important plot point, although not so unexpected. Mary Louise Wright (Meryl Streep) dies – Mother Perry. Her character comes to the Monhers to reach guardianship over her grandchildren and becomes a serious threat to the Celesta. In the final of the season, Mary Louise dies in a car accident.
Her death has no criminal background, but drastically completes the conflict line, so Celesta with children and without persecution is placed by her husband’s family.
