The imminent Carrie The Prime Video series just reached an exciting milestone, and one of its directors couldn’t help but share his excitement.
Axelle Carolynwho directs the episodes of Mike Flanaganis the new small screen adaptation of Stephen Kinga 1974 classic, revealed he had finished work on episode 4 and praised the project in a heartfelt post.
Carolyn posted a photo of the show’s take on Instagram and wrote: “I had a blast, working with a cast and crew who made me feel so welcome. Eternally grateful to Mike Flanagan for trusting me with another great script – and what a joy to be able to star in Stephen King’s world!”
The Prime Video series is described as a “bold and timely reimagining” of King’s story about teenage misfit Carrie White. This version will once again explore how Carrie’s strict and fanatical mother, along with the cruelty of her classmates, push her to unlock her telekinetic powers and unleash tragedy in the town of Chamberlain, Maine.
Summer H. Howell takes on the iconic role of Carrie, while Samantha Sloyan (Midnight Mass, The Fall of the House of Usher) will play his mother, Margaret White.
Join them are Kate Siegel, Michele Trucco, Katee Sackhoff, Siena Agudong, Alison Thornton, Joel Oulette, Talia Dudek, Josie Totah, Arturo Conti, Amber HalftoneAND Matthew Lillard.
Flanagan is no stranger to the world of Stephen King. His resume includes Gerald’s Game, Doctor SleepAND The Life of Chuck.
Carolyn is also a familiar contributor, having previously managed for Flanagan’s The Haunting of Bly Manor AND The midnight club. His other credits include Creepshow, American Horror Story: Double FeatureAND Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
