Rebecca Ferguson has officially announced her return to the role of Lady Jessica in the third installment of Denis Villeneuve’s epic Dune saga, The Direct writes.

“I’m not sure it should be there, but Dany had a little idea. There’s a lot to tell,” Rebecca Ferguson said. The actor also highly appreciated the script and noted the complexity of the film adaptation: “The script is simply extraordinary. It is very difficult to make a film based on such a rich book.”
Let’s remember that Dune 3 was officially announced in April 2024, and shooting started in July. Denis Villeneuve’s film will premiere on December 18, 2026.
While Timothée Chalamet (Paul Atreides), Zendaya (Chani), Florence Pugh (Princess Irulan) will return to their roles, the real news for those who have not read the books will be the “resurrection” of the hero Duncan Idaho, played by Jason Momoa. There were previously rumors that Robert Pattinson would play the main antagonist, a Tleilax master named Scytale.
By the way, we wrote everything that is known about the plot of the third part of Dune here.
