Star Wars Actor Cameron Monaghan Says Cal Kestis Is His ‘Favorite Character’ He’s Got to Play

Cameron Monaghan He’s played some pretty iconic roles throughout his career, but when it comes down to it, his time as Jedi Knight Cal Kestis stands above the rest.

The actor, who brought the character to life Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order AND Star Wars Jedi: Survivorhe recently admitted that Cal is probably his favorite role of all time.

Speaking at a fan screening for the Disney+ miniseries Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – pieces from the pastMonaghan shared how much he enjoys exploring different sides of the Jedi.

The show, aimed at younger fans, gave him the chance to bring a lighter version of the character to the screen.

“Our games are generally for an older audience and Cal is usually in a lot of danger and existential angst, as I would say. It was nice to have a little fun with him and have some pretty lighthearted fun.”

The actor didn’t hold back how much the character means to him, adding:

“He’s easily one of my favorite characters, if not my favorite character, I’ve never gotten to play and to be able to take him somewhere else is a real joy. It’s really cool to be able to see him in a different way.”

Monaghan has already confirmed that a third Star Wars Jedi The game is in development, telling fans last year, “We’re working on a third and we’re doing this right now.” While he made it clear that he would love to play Cal in live action, Monaghan admitted that he “would have to be right”.

Of course, Cal Kestis isn’t the only fan-favorite character he’s played. DC fans remember him as Jerome and Jeremiah Valeska in Gotham, twisted twins who served as early inspirations for the Joker. He also voiced Kon-El (Superboy) in the supermen animated film realm.

Monaghan’s next big role takes him to another beloved sci-fi franchise. It joins Jared Leto In the next one Tron: Areswhere he plays Caius, a combat program and member of Ares’ elite special forces. The film will hit theaters on October 10.
