Fans predict who will be the fourth traitor after host Claudia Winkleman ended the first episode with a massive cliffhanger

Fans have been predicting who will be the fourth traitor after the first episode of season two ended with a huge cliffhanger.

During the opening program on Wednesday, presenter Claudia Winkleman (51) announced Harry, Ash and Paul as the three chosen traitors.

The other 19 contestants remain faithful and must find out who they think might be a traitor before they are killed – eliminated from the series.

However, the “traitors” took on a completely different light this season and were tasked with choosing a fourth traitor for their tribe – but their identity was not revealed as the season ended on a dramatic cliffhanger.

Although the trio narrowed down the choice between Andrew, Diane, Miles or Sonja as role players, viewers will have to wait until Thursday night’s episode to find out.

BBC viewers are confident they know who the fourth traitor will be, with a penny on X: ‘Diane must definitely be the fourth traitor’

Another wrote: “If they don’t draft her as a fourth player, they will almost certainly release her first.”

Retired teacher Diane (63) from Lancashire says she has taught “some very difficult children” and knows how to stay calm.

As for a possible game plan, she said, “I had to use tactics to gain control of a classroom. I used a lot of humor and you had to know when to pick your battles.

“I know from the last series that Wilfred said he would push people aside and try to make headlines, but I won’t do anything like that.”

On the possibility that Diane could be a traitor, she said: “You have to be very careful who you befriend.

“Maybe it’s hard for me, but I still want to say I can do it.”

“You’re in it and you’ve got nothing else in your life but this game, for three weeks total, it’s going to be so easy to let it get over you.”

In the show, most of the contestants are “believers” and must find out which of them are “traitors” – who has the ability to “kill” a fellow contestant every night.

The group has daily “bans” where they must vote to kick out someone they believe is a traitor while working together on challenges to raise money for the prize fund.

In addition, participants compete against each other in various “missions”, whose purpose so far has been to increase the prize pool.

But when Claudia addressed the teammates for the 2024 season as they lined up at a lake, she revealed that this year’s missions have come with a new twist.

As well as offering the opportunity to raise £15,000 for the prize pool, Claudia added a surprising new layer to the challenges.
