It’s time for great stories! French entrepreneur Dagobert Renof found an unusual way to pay for his own wedding. The man completely covered the costs of the celebration by selling advertising space on his wedding jacket.
This idea came to him in the summer. Then the man thought, if companies pay to advertise on blogs and t-shirts, why shouldn’t they wear wedding dresses? Within weeks of sharing his idea, 26 startups responded and bought the rights to put their logos on the fabric of the tuxedo.
“Thank you so much to the 26 startups who helped us cover the costs of our wedding, it was a wonderful day,” Dagobert Renouf said on social media.
The reaction of Internet users did not last long. Some called the guy’s idea one of the most successful marketing decisions of the year, while others noted that it was inappropriate to turn one of the most important days in life into a business project.
However, the unique idea allowed the man not only to pay for the wedding, but also to create real excitement around his celebration.
By the way, we have previously talked about why the institution of marriage attracts the attention of those who zoom. Read more in our material.
