It’s easy to assume that the scope and scope of the next two Avengers films will be close to that of the last two, Avengers: Infinity War AND Avengers: Endgame. Those films closed an important chapter in the MCU, taking out the greatest villain the heroes had ever faced and changing the world around them.
It would make sense to fans that, with the Russo Brothers returning to helm the upcoming films, we can expect something just as great, if not more.
We already know most of the cast Avengers: Judgment Daywhich leads us to assume an epic clash, but a new rumor claims that Doomsday will pale in comparison to what they have in store for Avengers: Secret Wars.
Industry scooper @MyTimeToShineH shared some interesting insights. It all started at New York Comic Con, when Charlie Cox was asked if his Daredevil could team up Ben AffleckMan Without Fear from the 2003 film. The actor responded:
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” which is a pretty standard response for Marvel actors, although it still attracted some attention on social media.
According to the insider (via CBM), “The idea is to bring EVERYONE back into Secret Wars.” In other words, here come the surprises and cameos Avengers: Judgment Day will pale in comparison to what is planned for 2027.
This would mean that anyone who is still alive and has played Marvel characters in the past, like Affleck, Nicolas Cage, Tobey Maguire, Andrea Garfield, Eric Bana, Edward Nortonand others may appear alongside their current counterparts. I can’t wait to see who will reprise these roles, and I really hope some cameos remain a surprise!
Who would you like to see return? Avengers: Secret Wars?
