Actor Marco Ruffalo was spotted on the set of Spider-Man: The New Day he looks pretty beat up as Bruce Banner, and a new rumor offers some insight into how we’ll find the character in this new Marvel chapter.
According to a new report from The Direct, The Cosmic Circus industry scoop, Alex Perez, says Banner is “on edge” due to the events of She-Hulk AND Captain America: Brave New Worldin which he stated that “his worst fear has come true”.
During She-HulkBanner had to reconcile with the fact that more Hulks could be created with his DNA after his cousin Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) transformed into She-Hulk following a car accident in which she was contaminated with his blood.
Not to mention that at the end of the series he also discovered that he had a son. Another revelation then came in Captain America 4, after it was revealed that President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford) hid a monstrous side as Red Hulk, the result of gamma ray pills created by Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake Nelson).
The introduction of new Hulks into society is apparently one of the significant issues Banner will face Spider-Man: The New Day. Perez reports that these events will put “stress on his behavior,” which could tie into rumors that Banner will regress from Smart Hulk to Savage Hulk in Spider-Man 4.
I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds! Spider-Man: The New Day will be released on July 31, 2026.
