Romesh Ranganathan has joked about working with Katherine Ryan on her new series The Romantic Getaway, in which they play a couple.
Appearing on The Graham Norton Show, which airs on New Year’s Eve, the comedian, 44, cheekily joked that the mother-of-three, 39, had warned him there would be “no touching” on set.
The duo play an ordinary couple who find themselves in drama after stealing £500,000 from their boss on The Sky Comedy.

When asked about his new series on the show, Romesh said: “I’ve written sitcoms that are very soft with funny scripts, but I’ve never written anything that’s so action-driven – you want it to be funny, but you want it too Drive this winding story It was great.’
He jokingly added: “Katherine (Ryan), who is a very good friend of mine, despite playing a couple, made it clear from the start that there would be no touching – she was adamant .
“In fact, I think it was a deal breaker for her!”
Romesh also spoke about his new stand-up special The Cynic on The Graham Norton Show.

He said: “Most of the Netflix shows are done at the Apollo so I thought it would be fun to do it at my local theater in Crawley, which looks like a leisure centre!”
Romantic Getaway airs alongside NU on Sky Comedy from January 1 and features six episodes.
Romesh and Katherine play the couple Deacon and Alison at the center of the series.

They are joined by Johnny Vegas, who plays their unreliable and unpredictable boss, Alfie.
Romesh wrote the series with Benjamin Green, Sarah Morgan and Elaine Gracie. Directed by Shaun Wilson.
The new series comes a week after Katherine gave up birth of her third child.

The star welcomed a baby girl named Fenna Grace in the early hours of Friday when husband Bobby Kootstra announced the news on Instagram.
As well as an adorable photo of their newborn daughter, Bobby also shared a photo of Katherine during her “long” labor as she praised her “strength” – before posting a photo of her placenta after the birth.
He shared on Instagram: “Fenna Grace Kootstra December 16 at 12:05 p.m.

“Mom is amazing! Her strength has been proven time and time again by the relatively long birth at home. We are so blessed :)’.
Katherine also shared a beautiful son of her son Fred, 18 months, and met his new sister timestamped 5/12.
She later shared in her story that there was a “breakdown” during the delivery that slowed things down and was “a bit up and down” but that she is doing well now.
The TV star is also mother to daughter Violet (12) from a previous relationship.
Katherine announced in July that she was pregnant with her third child.
The TV personality admitted she found out she was pregnant after trying for the first time while still breastfeeding her son Fred, who she welcomed just 13 months ago.
