A study conducted by SpaSeekers analyzed Google data from over one hundred different countries to determine which beauty products they are the most searched in the world in September 2023. If some cosmetics have reached the top without surprise, others, more unexpected, may surprise you.

The long-awaited ranking
The most searched product on Google is, not surprisingly, Niacinamide Serum by The Ordinary. Searched on Google in 63 countries, helps reduce the appearance of imperfections, tighten dilated pores and regulate sebum production. Very popular in Canada, India and Malaysia, it is the perfect product for those with oily and acne-prone skin. And its low price is a real advantage that should not be overlooked.

But the latter shares its first position with another very popular product, especially on TikTok, which is none other than Charlotte Tilbury “Flawless Filter” illuminating primer which is a hit in Australia and the Netherlands. Widely imitated, never equaled, this product seduces with its ease of use and its results on skin brightness.

The third product is not what you think
The product that takes third place in this ranking, surprisingly, is not Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow pencil, Gisou hair oil or Dior Backstage bright pink blush. but the cream in the blue jar from the Nivea brand. This product that we have all used at least once in our lives is a basic that (almost) all houses have already owned… And continue to own… Despite a sometimes questionable composition based on mineral oil, of petrochemical origin.
The Benetint liquid blush or the Clarins double serum are also part of this ranking with the famous Laura Mercier loose powder.
And what about the most sought after brands?
It’s fine to know which products are the most popular at the moment, but does the individual popularity of these cosmetics reflect that of their respective brands? The answer has been no since then the first in the ranking is none other than CeraVE. This dermatologically tested brand is ubiquitous and offers a wide range of face and body care products.
If CeraVE is popular, it is followed closely by a major competitor: La Roche Posay. This French brand is appreciated in more than 33 countries and its reputation is well established.
Would you have included these different brands in the ranking?
