The 2022 NBC broadcast of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade received a 7.2 in the 18-49 demo and 27.7 million viewers (including digital, streaming on Peacock and encore). According to Nielsen, this is the most viewers in five years.
Thursday’s live telecast is NBC’s top entertainment show in terms of both demo (5.5) and total viewers (22.3 million) for the year.
The parade was Peacock’s most popular simulcast entertainment event of all time and more than doubled its reach for the 2021 parade.
The National Dog Show presented by Purina, which aired immediately after the parade, drew a 2.8 in demo and 11.2 million viewers, including streaming. The Christmas party lasted all night The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallonwhich scored a 0.90 in the demo and got 3.4 million viewers, besting the original Tonight’s show Performance in both demo and overall viewership over three years.
Late Night with Seth Meyers a 0.90 average in the demo and 1.7 million viewers, making it the most watched late night in three years.
