While Alana Thompson has a new boyfriend, Mama June is in love – again – and wants to fight Pumpkin for Alana in the new season of “Mama June: Road to Redemption.”
Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon And Josh Efird hands full this season Mother June: the road to salvation daughter, new baby and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson until today. “A full house gets very stressful, especially as Alana gets older,” admits Pumpkin in the trailer, which aired on April 12. The new season will begin on WE TV on May 13.
Alana brings her new boyfriend, draline, to meet his family, and Josh has something to say to him. “All I ask is respect and you’re being very, very nice to him. And if you don’t, I’ll break your neck,” Josh tells Dralin.
Meanwhile, Anne June is over Geno Doak, but trouble seems to follow him everywhere. Now she has a new man and she thinks she’s in love with him! “Where do you find these men, Convicts.com?” Pumpkin jokes.
In addition to her new relationship, Mama June also wants Alana back. When June Anne tells Kabak that Alana has a house where she can stay, Kabak replies, “I am her mother now.”
That’s not what Anne June wanted to hear. Pumpkin admits that her mother’s “selfish behavior” is tearing everyone apart. “Alana is mine and I can get her back whenever I want,” explains Anne June. This doesn’t seem like what Alana, who lives with Kabak and Josh, wants.
At the end of the trailer, Alana and Kabak can be seen talking to a lawyer about Kabak getting sole custody of Alana. One thing is for sure, Mama June won’t give up without a fight.
