Serbian actor Milos Bikovich, who has been shooting in Russia for a long time, posted on YouTube “How About Talking?” Interviewed Irina Shikhman for the program. The actor talked about how he got Russian citizenship, talked about how different Russia is from Serbia, and recalled the NATO bombings in his home country.
The star of the movie “Kholop” became a Russian citizen at the end of February, after receiving such an offer from the presidential administration, and the decision to obtain citizenship was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
said Bikovic.
The actress said that before that she herself had repeatedly stated that she wanted to become a citizen of Russia.
Acknowledging that Russia and Serbia have a lot in common, the actor described the attitude of the Serbian people towards Russia as “brotherly”.
The actor shared with the presenter a vivid memory from his life – he spent his childhood in Belgrade, where he survived the NATO bombings in 1999 (according to the official version of NATO, the reason for the bombings was “to prevent the genocide of the Albanian population”).
Shikhman asked the actor if what happened in Kosovo in those years was similar to what happened in Crimea in 2014, when Crimea was part of Russia. Bikovich noted that the historical context of these situations is different.
Bikovich also commented on the “cancellation culture” that has become very popular in Western countries. The actor noted that anyone can do a bad deed and should be punished for it, but it is impossible to destroy his career or deprive him of his achievements.
