More than 28 million people tuned in The 97th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Paradethe highest viewership ever for the annual event in NYC.
This number includes all platforms, including NBC’s live broadcast (8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.; a half-hour longer than last year’s broadcast and still higher based on average viewership), the encore broadcast (2:00 p.m. – 17:00). PM) and on Peacock. The save also earned a 7.2 rating in the 18-49 demo.
Both the demo’s viewership and ratings represent a 6% increase over last year’s parade.
The live linear broadcast of the parade (22.3 million viewers; 5.3 in the demo) is the highest-rated entertainment broadcast of the year on all television in both categories. It is also the highest entertainment performance in both categories since the 2021 parade.

The parade was also Peacock’s best entertainment simulcast ever, more than doubling streaming hours compared to last year’s parade.
The National Dog Show presented by Purina, which aired after the parade, drew 11.9 million viewers and a 2.9 rating in the demo on NBC and Peacock. This is 8 percent and 11 percent more than last year’s broadcast, respectively.
For the rest of the night The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon drew 2.9 million viewers and a 0.70 in the 18-49 demo – the best Show tonight Appearances since Thanksgiving 2022. After that Late Night with Seth Meyers drew 1.4 million viewers and a .33 in the demo, also its best in a year since last Thanksgiving.
