He will always be remembered by country fans and now they get the chance to celebrate him. Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday The special concert was announced during Nelson’s performance tonight The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The two-hour long program will be on Sunday 17 December at 8:30 am. PT/ET airing on CBS, with live and on-demand streaming via Paramount+.
The special was taped live over two nights earlier this year in front of a sold-out crowd at the Hollywood Bowl in honor of Nelson’s 90th birthday.e Birthday and the 12-time Grammy winner’s contributions to popular culture and music.
Appearances include Nelson, Beck, Gary Clark Jr., Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg, Norah Jones, Miranda Lambert, Dave Matthews, Nelson’s sons Lukas Nelson and Micah Nelson, Keith Richards, George Strait and Chris Stapleton. The special will be hosted by stars Jennifer Garner, Chelsea Handler, Woody Harrelson, Ethan Hawke, Helen Mirren and Owen Wilson.
