John Stamos is the latest celebrity to pay tribute to Matthew Perry with a touching post on Instagram. The Totally Alum remembered Perry’s generosity and kindness when he guest-starred Friends.
“Matthew and I were friends a long time ago Friends. When I starred as Zach, the potential sperm donor for Chandler and Monica, I hung out with him a lot,” Stamos shared. “Standing backstage waiting for me to perform, Matt whispered, ‘The audience will go crazy when they see you!’ Be prepared for loud shouting. “
Stamos continued: “I walk through the door… silence. I was so shy. We end the scene and as I go back to my dressing room and screw up show business, Matt goes to the studio audience: “Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for John Stamos! You probably didn’t recognize him at first because he looks much better in real life!’ I have never forgotten it and the world will never forget you.”
The Friends The cast issued a joint statement after Perry’s death, saying in part, “We are all devastated by the loss of Matthew.” We were more than just role players. We are a family.”
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer signed the statement, saying, “We will say more as we can over time.”
