John Larroquette, who played Assistant District Attorney Dan Fielding on both editions of the NBC sitcom night courthis co-star Richard Moll remembered in a tribute on social media today.
Moll, best known as the formidable sheriff “Bull Shannon” night courtdied October 26 at his home in Big Bear Lake, California. He was 80 and his family gave no reason why.
Larroquette, Harry Anderson and Moll were the only characters to appear in every episode of the former sitcom. For his work on the series, Larroquette won the Emmy Award four years in a row, a record at the time. The original night court ran from 1984 to 1992 and Larroquette was the only regular character from the previous series to continue in the series’ continuation in 2023.
