Koh-Lanta – Louana eliminated: "I thought the greens would have been a little more grateful."

Koh-Lanta – Louana eliminated: "I thought the greens would have been a little more grateful."

The ordeal of connected destinies proved fatal for Louana. The one who is thrown from the adventure because of his partner, looks back on his journey…

You’ve had a number of individual victories since reunification… Did this adventure surprise you?

Louna: Absolutely! As a professional rider, I was confident in my sporting abilities, so I came to Koh-Lanta to test my mind because with hunger, fatigue and stress everything is really at that level. I’m proud of everything I’ve accomplished: I’ve been elected leader of the Reds, won the ambassadors’ duel, and won three separate victories… not to mention the role of camp cook. obviously believe me! (Laughs)

Isn’t it easy to fall for Maxime during connected destinies?

It was the worst possible combination in all of Koh-Lanta’s history (laughs), especially since it’s been on the hot seat for a while. I knew right away that we had to win immunity, or it would have been destroyed. The unity of all the couples turned the red alliance upside down.

Maxime’s personality also plays a role in the fact that you’re not happy to be associated with him…

Absolutely, but Maxime can be a very nice person, not so bad after all. There was a lot of exchange of ideas and a certain complicity between us, even if the communication went badly. For example, I loved taking the immunity test with him – even if we lost – because you have to know that he was in trouble all along but it took 45 minutes, I’m proud of him.

How did you experience the dreaded taste test?

It was the one I feared the most. ‘I knocked my brain down’, got over my disgust and went for it. I was the adventurer who was most afraid of this challenge, so it’s a bit of pride not to finish last.

In what mood did you go to the parliament?

I’m confused by my fate tied to Maxime, but I’m relatively confident thanks to the old greens’ alliance. Ambre, François and Nicolas have confirmed to me that they will not vote against us. In fact, they lied to me and made me believe that they would eliminate Fouzi and Géraldine. At the same time, I should have known, they had already broken their promise by eliminating Colin when I promised him immunity after the council of ambassadors…

How did you feel when you discovered the betrayal of your allies?

A big disappointment. I had proven myself as an ambassador, a team leader who saves everyone’s place… I thought the Greens would be a little more grateful… But you can’t trust anyone on Koh-Lanta.

You are tough in trials. Wasn’t voting against Maxime also a good excuse for the old Greens to topple you without putting your name in the ballot box?

I’m not saying that was the case for me, but I know that after reunification on Koh-Lanta, the strongest were eliminated… I’ve won a lot of exams, maybe it’s annoying. What is certain is that some adventurers did not vote for merit… That was not my mindset.

Could you explain yourself with François and Ambre?

After the show, I mainly spoke with François – with whom I have a good relationship – who said very comforting words about me and that, in my opinion, I am “the warrior of the game, the strongest of this pressure”. “And I just met the wrong couple. He hopes we’ll finally get to an all-star, and he said to me: “I’ll carry you all the way”… Anyway, the damage has been done (laughs).

Do you think you can go further without Maxime?

Obvious ! First of all, I believe Maxime can beat any adventurer other than François.

After surviving 31 days, did you face any difficulties in your daily life?

I lost 6 kilos on the way back to France. In terms of food, its management was complicated. But when I got home, the thing that bothered me the most was the noise… it was as if the voices had increased tenfold.

Does the manufacture provide medical follow-up on your return?

Yes, we are at our psychologist service for one year if we need it. I’m lucky to have a psychotherapist father, so I didn’t use the production one.

How do you evaluate your career at Koh-Lanta?

I am very proud of myself and at the same time very disappointed that I was able to achieve only two of my top three goals: not getting eliminated first, reaching reunification… I was just missing the posts (laughs). I was also disappointed that I was eliminated during the doubles round because my fate was not in my hands. It was the hardest but also the most beautiful experience of my life.
