Settling in Normandy, Laure and Matthieu became parents to a little girl named Lya in 2021. Determined to feel as happy as possible and to create their ideal cocoon to raise their children, the two former candidates embarked on the XXL business to remake their home. On Sunday, June 11, the couple experienced a great fear. In a video posted by Laure on Instagram, we can see heavy black smoke around their house. “Lya and Matthieu spend 4 hours outside right after their lunch break and Matthieu calls me and says, ‘I think there’s a fire in the neighbors’. We immediately called the fire department as no one seemed to be there. Everything went black in less than 5 minutes, it’s crazy how fast it spread!“, she explains. Fortunately, there were no injuries to be sad about and only property damage occurred. While Laure took her daughter and dog to the little girl’s grandparents, Matthieu remained on the field to wait and calm the firefighters.”children at home“.
