You have won 530.000 Euros. don’t forget the lyrics and big number 1. What did the show change for you?
Thanks to the show, I was able to own Saint-Malo, so it changed a lot of things financially (laughs)! Since we met with other candidates very often, I made a lot of friends and I think the show helped me a little bit in terms of my self-confidence. And most importantly, I changed jobs. We traveled together last year don’t forget the lyrics And right after that, I decided to work professionally in the field of music. So it’s been a long time since we formed a duo to sing at bars, events and private parties. On a smaller scale than Zenith don’t forget the lyrics but still (laughs)!
Everyone wants to take your place don’t forget the lyrics some even get dangerously close… Worried?
I won’t go so far as to say that I feel pressure because if one day, I will get over it and it’s always nice to see candidates rising then. Right now, they’re getting stronger and, for example, they’ve been hot twice with Charlotte and Louis for Caroline and Kevin (laughs). Me, I have some leeway, but it’s true that it’s always this little side of us telling each other. ‘Oh, I hope they don’t pass me by’.
How did you revise it? Masters Tournament ?
I listen to music year-round because I love it, and I make little playlists that I listen to in the car. Often times, I start more ‘school’ work two or even three months before a competition. For Tournament, it’s a little different because we’re on a team and we feel much less stressed. I also admit that I didn’t really study for this competition because I was in Mauritius two days ago (laughs) and since I finally arrived I have to believe it’s been good luck to me.
How did it go with your team?
I was very happy with my team because Violaine was someone I really admired and Louis was the new kid in the neighborhood. It was our first meeting, we talked a little the day before the shoot and I got on well with him. He was perhaps the most stressful of the three of us because this competition was something completely new in his career.
Reaching the final is a powerful moment for you. How did you experience this?
I didn’t really think about that during the show. i won League Last December with Hervé and I said to myself ‘Cool !’ and here it is true that I told myself I had a good streak to get to this point and that’s why I hope to win. masters This year.
Does Nagui continue to nickname you “Queen Margaux”?
Yes he goes on and I jokingly told him that it bothered me but he didn’t care because it made him laugh and I think he was so used to calling me that he couldn’t do otherwise anymore. The tongue turned into a tic (laughs).
You wouldn’t be too surprised by the new rules. Tournament ?
There were a lot of new rules and we all thought it was great. There was a lot of luck because there was a lot of draw… It was very good because it changed our habits in the first half. Tournament. We knew we would have new rules before we started shooting, but we really discovered them on set. We got a little extra stressed out by this unknown factor but we were lucky with my team because we didn’t play among the winners and we had enough time to see the others pass before. So we knew which sauce to eat!
See you for the grand finale in France 2 on Friday, April 28 at 21:10!
